چکیده

S Studies evaluating the effectiveness of herbicides on weed control, coupled with sustainability management system, are great importance. The present study aims to evaluate efficacy post-emergence applied maize while inferring treatments employing an ecological approach. experiment was installed in a randomized block design four replications. consisted application atrazine at dose 1500 g ha-1; + mesotrione 72 tembotrione 100.8 nicosulfuron 22.5 glyphosate ha-1 792.5 ha-1, addition weeded and infested control treatments. were 4 leaf stage maize. phytotoxicity assessed 7, 14, 21, 28 days after applying (DAT). In addition, phytosociological survey all plots carried out last assessment. Herbicides did not cause symptoms crop. However, associations promoted greater control. Despite being classified as one better effectiveness, association between atrazine, caused more significant reduction diversity plant community, alternative practices should be cropping fields avoid selection.

Response of Poaceous Weeds in Wheat to Post-Emergence Herbicides

Poaceous weeds are prolific and competitive in winter crops, but they are more insidious in wheat due to their similar morphology and growing requirements. Herbicides are effective and efficient tools of weed management, however, they are vulnerable to resistance, and herbicides with different modes of action might check the dominance of a particular weed flora. The current study was undertaken...

Evaluation of broadleaf weeds control with some post-emergence herbicides in maize (Zea mays L.) in Iran

Registered dose of herbicides may be higher than rate required for controlling weed species depending on growth stages. In order to study the effect of individual post-emergence application of 2,4-D plus MCPA and three sulfonylurea herbicides at four- to six-true leaf stage of weeds, experiments were conducted in 2011 at the greenhouse of Agricultural Faculty of Ferdowsi University of Mashh...

Control of broadleaf weeds with post-emergence herbicides in four barley (Hordeum spp.) cultivars

Limited information is available on control of broadleaf weeds in barley and response of barley cultivars to herbicides. Field experiments were conducted from 2007 to 2009 to evaluate post-emergence herbicides for control of broadleaf weeds in four barley cultivars. Herbicide treatments included 2,4-D sodium salt at 500 g ai ha 1, carfentrazone-ethyl at three rates (15, 20 and 25 g ai ha 1), an...
